
Barsu village and Syanri Bugyal are among the most beautiful alpine landscapes in Uttarakhand, situated at elevations ranging from 8,000 to 12,000 ft. During winter, it provides an exceptional opportunity to explore crisp alpine ridges and sweeping meadows, ascending to Surya Top (4,200m / 13,780 ft) for 360-degree panoramic vistas of the Gangotri mountain group and the colossal Bandarpoonch massif.
Assemble in Tapovan / Rishikesh. Drive 8 hrs along the Bhagirathi River to Barsu via Uttarkashi with lunch en route. Reach Barsu in late evening followed by dinner. Overnight stay at homestay/lodge.
Breakfast and start off our day with a mild climb and fabulous views of the Himalayas. As we climb higher through dense Oak and Rhododendron forest, the trail gets steeper. Camping at Gujjar Dera / Jungle Camp.
Morning after breakfast start trek up to Syanri Bugyal. An easy gradual climb through dense forest with Gangotri range peaks opening up. Arrive at camp for hot lunch. Afternoon at leisure or mild hike towards Surya Top Ridge for a beautiful sunset. Overnight stay in tents.
Early morning summit push to Surya Top (4,200m / 13,780 ft) for incredible 360-degree sunrise panoramas of the Himalayas. Return and descend down to Jungle Camp for overnight camping.
Morning after breakfast, scenic downhill trek through forest trails back to Barsu (8 km). Stay in a traditional guest house / homestay.
A relaxed morning followed by breakfast and a 7-8 hrs scenic drive back to Rishikesh / Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport. Trip concludes.







We cap our fixed departure groups to a maximum of 12 trekkers to ensure personal attention, pristine campsite ethics, and maximum mountain safety.
