Expedition Overview

The ultimate trans-Himalayan motorcycle odyssey through India's most remote high-altitude wilderness. Riding Royal Enfield Himalayan (450cc / 411cc) bikes with a dedicated support truck, master mechanic, and road captain, this epic circuit conquers the newly opened Shinkula Pass into hidden Zanskar Valley, navigates rough cliffside trails to Padum and Lingshed, sweeps past ancient monasteries to Leh, climbs over Chang La (17,500 ft) to Pangong Tso, rides the forbidden border routes to Hanle and Tso Moriri, and tackles the dizzying 21 Gata Loops across the More Plains back to Manali.

Arrival in Manali & Bike Allocation

Arrival in Manali. Relax, bike allocation, safety briefing, and test spin around Manali for acclimatization. Stay in hotel.

D2

Manali to Jispa via Atal Tunnel (135 km)

Ride through the Atal Tunnel and Sissu, following the roaring Chandra River to reach Jispa for first high-altitude halt. Glamping / hotel stay.

D3

Jispa to Padum, Zanskar via Shinkula Pass (150 km)

Ride over the newly opened high Shinkula Pass into the remote Zanskar Valley, ending the day in Padum. Stay in hotel.

Padum to Lingshed (100 km)

Navigate rough tracks, cliffside river gorges, and high mountain passes through inner Zanskar to reach Lingshed homestay.

Lingshed to Leh (205 km)

Ride via Photula/Singela Pass to join the Srinagar-Leh highway, riding past moonland Lamayuru to reach Leh. Stay in hotel.

Leh Acclimatization & Changthang Permits

Rest day in Leh, bike inspection & maintenance service, and inner-line permits clearance for Changthang border zones.

Leh Local & Monastery Ride

Short ride around Leh to Shey, Thiksey, and Magnetic Hill. Pre-departure briefing.

Leh to Pangong Tso via Chang La (160 km)

Cross the formidable Chang La (17,500 ft) and ride down to camp by the stunning turquoise waters of Pangong Tso.

Pangong Tso to Hanle via Chushul & Rezang La (160 km)

Ride along the rugged, scenic border lakeshore route via Chushul and the historic Rezang La War Memorial to Hanle dark sky sanctuary.

Hanle to Tso Moriri Lake via Changthang (150 km)

Ride through the remote high-altitude rangelands of Changthang directly to Korzok village by the deep blue Tso Moriri.

Tso Moriri to Sarchu via Puga, Tso Kar & Gata Loops (170 km)

Ride through Puga geothermal geysers, salt-crusted Tso Kar, cross the vast More Plains and tackle the thrilling 21 Gata Loops down to Sarchu camp.

Sarchu to Manali via Baralacha La & Atal Tunnel (220 km)

Ride over high Baralacha La, Jispa, and Keylong, crossing through the Atal Tunnel back into lush green Manali.

Buffer Day in Manali

Flexible recovery day in Manali to rest, celebrate completion, or address any bike wear-and-tear. Stay in hotel.

Departure to Chandigarh / Delhi

Transfer to Chandigarh/Delhi. Grand trans-Himalayan moto expedition concludes.

Source of the Ganges & Tapovan Expedition

The Ganges is considered the most sacred river in India, and this pilgrimage-expedition follows her upstream to her true geological origin: the Gaumukh ice snout of the Gangotri Glacier. The journey begins from holy Rishikesh, ascends to ancient Gangotri Temple, and ventures into Gangotri National Park. Ascending beyond Gaumukh leads to the mystical high-altitude alpine meadow of Tapovan (4,400m), situated directly at the base of Mt. Shivling (6,543m) — the 'Matterhorn of the Himalayas' — and the world-famous Shark Fin north face of Mt. Meru, surrounded by meditating sadhus and awe-inspiring stillness.

Kalindi Khal Trek: The Great Traverse

A legendary high-altitude traverse that takes you halfway round Garhwal from the Bhagirathi Valley to the Alaknanda Valley, giving a thrill to even the most seasoned mountaineers. Starting from holy Gangotri, the route traverses the Gangotri Glacier to Nandanvan (base of Bhagirathi peaks with unmatched views of Mt. Shivling), continues along Chaturangi Glacier to the shimmering high lake of Vasukital, crosses the formidable 5,947m (19,506 ft) Kalindi Khal Pass under towering Kamet & Mana peaks, and descends through Arwatal and Mana village (the last village on the frontier) to conclude fittingly at the holy Badrinath Temple.

Kuari Pass Trek (The Curzon Trail)

Amongst the most celebrated ridge treks in the Garhwal Himalayas, charted by Lord Curzon in 1905 and known worldwide as the 'Curzon Trail'. The route ascends from the alpine slopes of Auli through virgin oak and rhododendron forests to the sprawling high-altitude meadows of Gorson Bugyal and Kuari Pass (4,200m). Trekkers are rewarded with arms-length panoramic vistas of India's most revered summits — Mt. Nanda Devi (7,817m), Kamet, Dronagiri, Neelkanth, Changabang, and Hathi-Ghodi Parvat — combined with visits to historic Joshimath and rejuvenating dips in the natural hot sulfur springs of Tapovan.
